Vintage Western Cowboy Metal Bust Sculpture

  • $ 65000

Antique patinated head of an old cowboy. Cast in shelter with a patinated bronze overlay this rugged old figure depicts all the weariness of the west in his face. His protruding cheekbones with strong mustache are enhanced by the deep set eye sockets. He looks a cross between Frederic Remingtons "sargeant" and Wyatt Earp. This piece is not signed anywhere and is attached to its coarse wooden plinth via a locked large screw. This bust has a lot of age to it, evidence of anatomical understanding in its sculpting and integrity in the way it has captured the spirit of the figure.

There may be a stamp of sorts on the bottom left handed at the back but I cannot make out the words

A perfect addition to your western home decor or a fabulous housewarming gift idea. This would make a great addition to any antique sculpture collection or a great birthday gift.

MEASUREMENTS

The sculpture base measures 6.5"by 6.5" by 4" tall. The bust alone measures 13" tall by 9" deep by 6" wide and weighs 18lb 8oz.
