Antique German Carl Thieme Potschappel Porcelain 10" Dishes

Antique set of 6 German porcelain dishes by Carl Thieme of Potschappel. Ornately decorated with gold overlay and floral centers these 10" plates have raised borders surrounded by puttis figures in all sorts of revelry. Decorated with 12 figures of cherubs with animals these are typical of the style of the Potschappel factory. The underside marking of the capital N under a five pronged crown and the country of Germany date these to around the 1890's.

Dishes measure 10" diameter and altogether weigh 7lb 0oz

CONDITION

In good condition considering age and use. There is some loss of paintwork to the floral and leaf decorations but no chips or cracks to the porcelain plates - please see all pictures as they form part of the description.
