Antique Ceramic Mugs & Beer Pitcher Roman Religious Scenes

  • $ 24000

Circa 1910's/20's illustrated ceramic glazed mugs and pitcher. Each piece depicts what appears to be a biblical scene on one side with classical Roman figures. Originally these were most likely meant as beer pitcher and stein sets but with the enactment of the prohibition these were sold as Temperance type tableware. The mugs sit on a squat tripod so they do not leave a ring on a table. Great practical as well as aesthetically beautiful set of tableware for the modern or vintage table.

A great addition to your home, bar, or the perfect housewarming or holiday gift.

MEASUREMENTS

Beer pitcher measures 11.5“ long by 5“ wide by 6.25" deep and weighs almost 2lbs 15oz.
Beer mugs measure 5" tall by 3.5" in diameter and weigh together 7lbs.

CONDITION

In good condition with wear throughout the rims and glaze. Some of the mugs have small chips on their base. There is crazing throughout the ceramic glaze on the interior of the mugs and the jug (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
