Antique Victorian celebrity Commodore Nutt (George Washington Morrison Nutt; April 1, 1848 – May 25, 1881) and family photograph. Contained within a cut glass and mother of pearl decorated frame this photograph depicts Commodore Nutt and two ladies dressed in evening wear. This may be a publicity photograph by celebrated photographer Matthew Brady. This photograph is not signed or impressed by the photographer or his studio so the information accompanying the note cannot be verified. This came from the collection of an avid camera and photograph collector in the Los Angeles area recently.

Framed photograph measures 3" long by 3" wide and weighs 4.4oz.

CONDITION

In generally good condition considering age and use. The silver paint on the glass frame has flaked in several places (please see all photographs as they form part of the listing description).
