Original 1970s South Western Sun Ceramic Art Terry Rubin New Mexico Postmodern

  • $ 22500

DESCRIPTION

One off unique piece of pottery designed by New Mexico artist Terry Allen Rubin (b.1943). Designed in the 1970's or 80's this ceramic art vessel has southwestern colors and decor throughout. Its main design is depicted as what appears to be a sunset as observed from the inside of a white adobe on a black background. This appears to be part of a five part series all pertaining to the movement of the sun across the sky from a fixed point throughout the day.

The colors of black white and natural terracotta and the geometric design interaction are typical of the south western style. This ceramic stoneware vase is signed on the side.

Incised with the artists signature on the side.

Purchased from client who purchased it custom made directly from the artists studio.

A great addition to your retro South Western style home decor or ceramic art collection.
