On the eastern side of the map between the 30th and 40th parallel there is a town called Franckenstein. The map title in encompassed in a long banner at top with blue and white trim. This version is believed to date to 1638 the last year of his life when it was published in a French atlas "Le Theatre du Monde ou Nouvel Atlas".

This example is from a very rare 1638 French text edition, which has the same copperplates as the 1635 edition, however the text on the verso was reset in two text columns. This edition is the last version the great master printed under his patronage.
