Antique Art Nouveau English Cookie Tea Jar
Antique arts and crafts British silver plate biscuit barrel. Dating to the late Victorian period this silver plate round barrel with lid is decorated with typical foliage decor of the period. The ornate detail chased into the body is of climbing ivy with two blank cartouche in the center. This would have been used either as a biscuit barrel or as a tea caddy for table top service in a wealthy household. This would suit any style property as a dining table or kitchen accessory.
