Rare antique French kitchen scales & weights set. Primitive cast iron balance scales complete with 8 hexagonal weights comprising a 2kg, 1kg, demi kg, 2 hecto g, 1 hecto g, 1/2 hecto g. This vintage kitchen scales set originates from France and dates to around the 1900's/10's. The maker of this set of farmhouse scales is Force.

MEASUREMENTS

Antique scale measures 20" long (16“ long base) by 4.25“ wide by 7.25" tall and weighs 8lb 8oz. The weights weigh an additional 8lb 7oz.

CONDITION

In generally good working condition with signs of use commensurate with age. The scale is well balanced and works very well. The brass weighing trays show signs of previous damage and welding repair around the sides (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
