Antique Hemorrhoid Clamp Bone Edge
This antique medical instrument is a surgeons clamp or hemorrhoid clamp with adjustable wing nut dating to the 19th century. These pieces of medical equipment were used to prevent blood flow in surgery.
It appears to have a bone covering on one side and may be civil war era. It is unmarked except for the number 7 in between the handles. The rings of the handles are ridged for extra grip which suggests these would be a lot of blood during these operations.
This medical instrument is a great addition to any antique medical museum or steampunk collection.
Piece of medical equipment measures 8“ long by 2.75“ wide and weighs 4.2oz.
In good condition with some wear throughout with a small crack on the bone (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
