Decorative Art Glass Oil Lamp by Stephen Maslach
Vintage swirl iridescent art glass bowl vase designed by Stephen Maslach, California. Hand made in the 1980's this signed piece was a revival of the early glass iridescent pieces being produced at the end of the 19th century. The swirled ridging on the patterned glass gives a tactile sense which enhances the visual essence of the art glass. Signed in script on the base along with a date that I believe is 1989 this is a collectable designer as well as being functional. This was originally designed as an oil lamp which had a wick which screws on to the top copper casing.
A great addition to your iridescent glass, vase or home accent collection.
Item measures 6.5“ in diameter by 5.5“ tall and weighs almost 2 lbs.
In excellent condition with no cracks or damage, but missing its wick holder on top (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
