Early Ed Lewin Denver Whiskey Jar

Antique stoneware whiskey squatty jug. This antique advertising whiskey jug dates between 1891 and 1906 according to the directory in Denver Colorado when Mr Ed Lewin ran a saloon at this address between those dates. This early advertising whiskey jug holds a half gallon and has a strong handle glazed with the top half of the jug.

Clearly stenciled marked with name and address with some fading to the city name. This is a rare and well made squatty whiskey jug from the old west.

A great addition to your vintage home decor or whiskey jugs collection. This would make a fabulous house warming gift or birthday gift.

MEASUREMENTS

Vintage whiskey jar measure 7.5" base diameter by 9.25" tall and weighs 6lb 1oz.

CONDITION

In good condition with signs of use commensurate with age. There are some chips out of the earthenware jug around the rim and edges (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
