Vintage Open Salt Cellar Set by Heinrich Hoffman
Vintage set of 12 clear glass Intaglios open salt cellars with original fretwork metal stand. Made during the 1930's in Czechoslovakia this rare large set of open salts are decorated underneath with reverse relief etching. The etching is a classic scene of a draped nude with a cherub and love birds.
These glass salt cellars originally would have been made for a rich property to be passed around a large table so everyone had their own salt dish. A great addition to your vintage dinner table, open salts or czech glass collection.
Glass Intaglios marked with little butterfly for makers mark of Heinrich Hoffman.
Intaglio measures 2.7“ deep by 1.75" wide by 0.5“ tall.
Stand measures 8" wide by 2" deep by 7" tall.
Altogether weighs less than 2lbs.
In good used condition with signs of use commensurate with age. A couple of the intaglios have small chips on the edges from use (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
