DESCRIPTION

Vintage French Absinthe advertising ceramic match holder and striker. Advertising Absinthe Chaplet this blue and white cafe match strike has a ridged center for striking the matches. This most likely dates from the 1920's- 1940's. It was part of a large collection purchased from a match strike and inkwell collector recently.

Marked: Absinthe Chaplet, Meseieires (Ardennes)

This would suit any living room or smoking parlor now or be used on a dining room table as a toothpick holder when entertaining. A great housewarming or early holiday gift idea.

Match Holder measures 4.5“ diameter by 2.5“ tall and weighs 14.6oz.

CONDITION

This match holder is in good functional condition with some small signs of age and use - I have not attempted to clean this - please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
