Vintage Glazed Terracotta Foo Dog Chinese Temple Guardian Dog Signed Pottery
Vintage glazed terracotta Chinese Foo dog. Cheeky and playful this teracotta temple guardian is leaning back on his front paws with his rump up as if about to pounce. His mouth is open and his teeth re showing but in a playful manner. He is finished in a beautiful blackened and green drip glaze and signed underneath by the maker. This primitive foo dog most likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century.
A great addition to your vintage home decor, primitive teracotta or Chinese Foo dog collection.
Foo Dog measures 11“ long by 7.75“ wide by 6.5" tall and weighs just over 5lbs.
