WW1 Military Service Record - US Military Machine Gun Corp
Original military antique WW1 US military service record. In memory of private Ralph J Pierce of the machine gun company of the 137th infantry who served in France during the first world war. Issued by the French government as a commemoration to a fallen US soldier who died in the Great War, this military antique was to acknowledge the sacrifice and dedication offered to the French by the US military which helped win the war.
A sad and poignant reminder of the face of new war at the beginning of the 20th century. This would make a great addition to your WW1, US military or paper ephemera collection.
Item measures 14.25“ wide by 21.25“ long and weighs 1 lb 5oz.
