DESCRIPTION

Antique leather and metal officers ammunition pouch. Dating to the late 19thC this silver plated face is decorated in brass trim with acorns (perhaps a major rank) which flanks a central cartouche of an intertwined VR (Victoria Regina) under a crown. This is hinged to a Moroccan red leather pouch which covers the wooden back. The inside tongue may have been replaced as it looks very new and the attaching brass rings are no longer present.

Box measures 5.5" wide by 4.25" tall by 2" thick and weighs 14oz.

CONDITION

Military ammunition box is in excellent shape structurally and cosmetically and has signs of wear commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
