Vintage Chinese cloisonne open metal box. Originally made in the 1920's as a bonsai planter this painted enamel cloisonne box was for sale to the foreign market outside of China, depicting everyday scenes of Chinese life. This superbly decorated Chinese cloisonné planter is enameled on the bottom, on the top ridge and on all four sides.

Vintage cloisonné planter measures 6.5" long by 4" wide by 1.75" tall and weighs 9.6oz.
