Antique American war or independence era powder horn. Primitive made powder horn made to store black powder dating to the 18th century judging from the construction. A nice primitive piece of frontier Americana which is typical of revolutionary war powder horns.

CONDITION

This gun powder horn is in nice working condition with signs of use commensurate with age, there are several chips missing from the top of the piece where the small nail pegs would keep the lid secure (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
