Antique Art Nouveau Austrian pitcher. Manufactured by Ernst Wahliss around the turn of the 20th century in Turn Teplitz Bohemia this porcelain pitcher is beautifully decorated with raised gold gilt throughout. This pitcher is typical of the Secessionist movement which dominated Austrian art society around this time period. Ernst Wahliss had established himself as Vienna’s leading retailer in porcelain goods by the 1880's. After purchasing the Alfred Stellmacher factory in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, in 1894 and began to produce decorative ceramics under the name Ernst Wahliss Kunst.

MEASUREMENTS

Pitcher measures 17.25" tall by 9.5" wide by 6.25"deep and weighs 3lb 1oz.

CONDITION

This pitcher is in good condition with some small signs of use commensurate with age. There is some crazing throughout the pitcher (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
