Antique Cast Iron Cherry Stoner - PAT'D NOV 17, 1863

  • $ 11500

Antique cast iron civil war era cherry stoner. This primitive table top cherry stoner is made completely from cast iron, is adjustable and sits on four splayed legs to accommodate a catch tray underneath. No makers marks but plenty of patent dates, perhaps an early piece by Enterprise.

This would originally have been an essential component in a frontier kitchen. These were replaced by the more popular table top mounted stoners during the 1870's. This decorative antique cast iron cherry pitter is ideal as a functional item in a vintage kitchen or equally as appealing as a piece of country home decor.

marked: PAT'D NOV 17, 1863, MAY 15 1866

This antique cherry stoner is a great addition to your primitive home decor. This would make a great gift for a birthday or a housewarming gift.
