Dating to the early 20th century this solid birds eye maple jewelry box is adorned with a decorative metal escutcheon where the key enters the locking mechanism which straddles both side of the box. The grain on the maple with all the occlusions gives it an almost 3 dimensional effect when observed under light.

CONDITION

This box is in very nice condition and the key works well, there is a split in the wood grain all the way through on the top back side of the box which does not detract from its beauty (please see all photographs as they form part of the listing description).
