Vintage Abstract Metal Bravo Award for John C Deichman

  • $ 33500

Original William Crutchfield abstract sculpture. Unique metal sculpture designed for the Bravo Awards in 1982 commissioned by the Performing Arts Council. Awarded to John C Deichman for a lifetime achievement in arts education this abstract metal sculpture was one of the many achievements of Los Angeles sculpture and artist Bill Crutchfield. This was the first year that this Bravo award was presented, the design has certain art deco elements throughout which was enjoying a revival in the 1980's.

The metal is heavy so it is most likely bronze as there is no magnetic attraction to it but it is difficult to tell as there is a coating on it. It is signed on the base by the sculptor Crutchfield.

A great addition to your abstract sculpture collection.
