DESCRIPTION

Antique Cast Iron Fireback Plate with Cockerel image. This incredibly heavy decorate fireback plate or fire guard is a stunning piece of history. Not sure when this dates to as there are no foundry or makers marks on it but it retains quite a lot of the original colors and is beautifully cast. This would make a great addition to any grand fireplace or Francophile collection. This primitive style has been employed for over 200 years.

Item measures 30.5“ tall by 22.25“ wide by 11" deep and weighs over 50lbs
