DESCRIPTION

Original framed art Victorian lithograph by Hendrik Dirk Kruseman van Elten (1829-1924). Signed and dated in the plate by Kruseman Van Elten in 1880, this fine copper plate etching shows a landscape scene "On the Shepang River, Connecticut". Published in 1880 in the American Art Review for the April, 1880 issue this is typical of the fine standard that Van Elten executed during his illustrious career. Beautifully matted with material in a period ornate wooden frame this was originally a wedding gift for the previous owners grandparents at the turn of the 20th century.

This lithograph would make a great addition to any living room, library or as a Christmas gift.

MEASUREMENTS

Etching measures 9" long by 5.5" wide. Framed the item measures 21.25“ long by 18.25“ wide and weighs 6 lbs.
