Vintage 1960s United Airlines Menehune of Hawaii figure. Large 28" advertising tiki display figure which were used in travel agencies windows this Menehune depicts a friendly older gentleman waving. Wearing traditional pattern fabric sarong the Menehune is made from a plastic type material.

In Hawaiian mythology, the Menehune are said to be a people, sometimes described as dwarfs in size, who live in the deep forests and hidden valleys of the Hawaiian Islands, far from the eyes of normal humans.

This would make a great addition to any eclectic advertising home decor or tiki bar addition.

MEASUREMENTS

Figure measures 27.5" tall by 19.5" wide by 8.5" deep and weighs 6lb 10oz.

CONDITION

In nice condition with some signs of use commensurate with age. The base shows signs of wear and tear. There is a very small slit on the top of the figure (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
