Vintage bronze mermaids signed sculpture on wooden mahogany plinth. Simply cast statue of two mythical nautical figurines in playful dance. It appears the mother like figure is teaching the young girl how to swim as suggested by the shape of the hair suspended. Signed on the base with the initials SC or CS (unknown). Unsure of the date of manufacture but it was in the possession of the previous owners family since the 1970's. This may be a homage to a large bronze situated along Malecon, Mazatlan in Mexico.

MEASUREMENTS

Sculpture base measures 4" by 3" by 4.75" tall. Statue measures 14" tall on base (9.25" without base) and weighs 4lb 9oz.
