Original oil on paper portrait painting of a boy. Framed painting of a boy in red was painted and signed by the artist, Benjamin. Heavily and quickly painted as attested by the brush strokes the sitter is looking slightly to his left as the light from a window on his right gently illuminates that side of his face. His face and bright red top contrast superbly with the drab dark green of the rooms interior to suggest the luminescence of youth. This vintage painting is signed and dated for 1968 in the bottom right.

The matting and frame are simple, unassuming and open at the back. This is the way I purchased it whether this is the original frame or not I cannot say but it works well with the piece.
