Vintage WW2 Seth Thomas No 2 Deck Clock Brass 1940s US Navy WWII USN Black Face

  • $ 52500

DESCRIPTION

Authentic working World War II vintage ship’s deck clock made for the U.S. Maritime Commission by the Seth Thomas clock company. The black dial is marked “DECK CLOCK No2 U.S. NAVY N 4085” in the center, then “Made By Seth Thomas In U.S.A.” below the 6.

This clock has a classic flared ship’s clock bezel which screws from the main body of the clock. This would attach to a mounting bracket piece of wood via the three holes on the back flange. Currently working well and although the key is missing it can be wound up using a number 6 key which was used to test it.

This would make a great birthday gift, man cave gift or housewarming gift or WW2 Naval clock collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Clock case measures 5.75" diameter (face measures 4") by 2.5" deep and weighs 4lb 11oz.

CONDITION

This clock is in good condition considering age and use. It does keep time well and runs strong when wound but I would recommend having the movement cleaned to ensure proper time is kept. No key is included but it winds with a number 6. There are some scratches to the face of the clock (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
