WW2 memorabilia lithograph vintage poster of French Imperialism propaganda issued by the Vichy French government in 1942. It conveys the message of French colonialism through her industrial might and prowess, alluding to her Saharan colonies in Africa. This vintage poster was part of a campaign by the rogue government to justify its reasoning in collaborating with the Germans as well as have a go at Britain for the Mers El Kabir and Dakar incidents of 1940.

This vintage poster was manufactured by the Gaston Maillet and company of Saint Ouen after a design by Falucci. It has been preserved on canvas. A great addition to your WW2 memorabilia , vintage poster, French propaganda or travel poster collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Item framed measures 23.5“ wide by 31.75“ long and weighs almost 3 lbs. Actual image measures 60cm wide by 80cm long.

CONDITION

In good used condition with signs of use commensurate with age, some scuffs and stains an faint signs of previous folding (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description). This has been lined with a canvas like material on the back to preserve it by the previous owner.
