Antique religious medal struck by the famous William Woodhouse, celebrated medallist in Dublin prior to his death in 1838 to celebrate the founding of his society. A rare Father Mathew medal which has the makers initials on one side and signature on the other.

Marked on back: The Great Apostle of Temperance, Founded his Society the 10th of APL 1838. A minister of the holies and true tabernacle which the Lord hath pitched and not man.

CONDITION
