Original 1834 English Romantics Poet Leigh Hunt Hand Written Letter & Portrait
Original signed lithograph by English poet James Henry Leigh Hunt dating to 1834. Coupled with an original letter of introduction from Hunt to for his son in law Mr Cheltham. Both pieces are matted into place behind glass in a simple period style frame.

Kensington Oct 21
Allow me to introduce to you my son in law, Mr Cheltham, who would submit to your consideration a project respecting your exhibition. He is in every respect trustworthy as he is intelligent,

PS. I know "Leigh Hunts Journal" is about to appear (for to my associates would have it called)
This letter can be dated to early 1834 as his journal had a suggestion of the title from his friends in the letter as intimated by Hunt himself. The lithograph of Hunt is engraved by H. Meyer from a drawing by J. Hayter.

Framed piece measures 16.5"long by 14.5" wide and weighs 2lb 8oz.
