Antique French Eiffel Tower ascension medal. Antique bronze medal struck by Alexandre Louis Marie Charente to commemorate the ascension of the Eiffel tower in 1889. These medals were also struck for other expositions held in Paris after the opening but apparently were dated on the girder underneath the workmens feet.
