Vintage Coast Salish wood carving large paddle by William Watts. Made by William Watts of the Squamish nation in West Vancouver Canada in 1986 this piece of tribal art was exhibited at an Expo the same year. It features typical colors of red, black and natural wood and depicts the eagle throughout. This was recently acquired at the estate of a local artist in Los Angeles.

William Watts is a Coast Salish Master Carver from the Squamish Nation. William learned the Traditional ways of Carving from his Uncles and Cousins of the Squamish Nation including John Charles August, Floyd Joseph, and many other talented Artists.

This would make a great addition to any Salish wall art or Canadian Aboriginal wood carving collection. This would make a great early holiday gift.

MEASUREMENTS

Wood carving measures 59" long by 7.25" wide and weighs 3 lbs 13oz.
