Vintage Edison Incandescent Light Bulb

  • $ 15000

Vintage novelty Edison lightbulb display. Vintage novelty display item advertising Edisons bulb in a shop window. Not sure if this would ever have been wired up to work as a working display item but it does have terminals on the wooden base which suggest this. This is a great advertising piece for any vintage lightbulb display. I am unable to date this piece but the glass is handblown which includes bubbles but it is not marked. It has a lot of similarities to the original 1879 lightbulb used by Edison in his Christmas eve demonstration Menlo Park, New Jersey.

Marked on the metal rim: Edison

A great addition to your retro home decor. This would make a great unique gift for a birthday or house warming gift.
