Original Signed Chaim Kanner Photograph ~ Glasgow 1966

  • $ 45000

Original 1960's signed silver gelatin print of a group of children standing in the middle of a street in Glasgow, Scotland. This photograph has great perspective as well as subject matter with the children being lined up in front of each other placing their heads either side so their faces can be seen. Great character in their faces make this both an engaging and timeless image from 1960's Glasgow. Simply framed and matted in a period frame this piece is stamped on the inside reverse with the artists name, rights reserved and telephone number.

Chaim Kanner (1943-2000) was born in Nice, France. He studied in Europe and photographed in France and Italy. In 1967 he spent a year photographing in the US and Mexico which stimulated travel throughout his life which can be seen in his work Glasgow to Tokyo. He worked as a professional photographer, first in the commercial field and then later in the fine art realm. He moved to the US in 1981 where he worked as a commercial photographer for an advertising agency until 1986 when he concentrated on selling his own work exclusively. These would make a great addition to your photographic collection, industrial style property, art studio or office.
