Antique 1890s German Figurative Tobacco Jar Munich Maid Signed Johann Marasch
DESCRIPTION
Vintage 19th century German pottery humidor. This tobacco jar dates to about 1890 and represents the "Munich maid", a very popular subject of the period for tobacco jars and steins. The jar is designed as a young maiden wearing a traditional hat and hair tied up on a sack with a cord. This is signed underneath with the makers initials, crescent moon and another name. The lid is stamped with a shake number.

Lid stamped: 3744
