Antique table top pressed metal scales. Dated to the early 1910's this vintage metal scale was used by the Mercantile Mail & Express agents and post offices to weigh letters and small packages. Simple clean black lacquer decorated withe a nationalistic eagle decal on either side. Complete with its metal tray and glass insert.

These antique scales were common in post offices and country stores at the turn of the 20th century. This would make a great addition to any antique country store display or could still be used as a scale today in a modern household in the kitchen.

Antique scales measure 10 inches long by 6 inches wide by 7.75 inches tall and weighs 3lb 13oz.

CONDITION

In good working condition with very little signs of use commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
