Antique Art Deco English Sterling Silver 3 Leg Round Pill Box Sydney & Co 1924
DESCRIPTION
Antique sterling silver English round pill form box. Dating to 1924 this stunning sterling silver pill form box was made in Birmingham by the distinguished firm of Sydney & Co. Perfectly plain on the main body this round box with three legs is simple in design and more typical of the late Victorian period than the Art Deco period. The inside is lined with a soft green velvet which suggests it was used as a jewelry box perhaps for earrings. The bottom outside is lined in leather.
Hallmarked: S & Co ( Sydney & Co ) Anchor (Birmingham city mark) lion passant (sterling mark) z (year mark 1924)
A great addition to any English sterling silver, table ware or jewelry collection. These would make a great early birthday or housewarming gift.
