Antique Arts & Crafts Magazine Book Newspaper Rack
Vintage Arts & Crafts wall mounted magazine rack dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period. Traditionally these open fretwork wood pieces hung on the wall of a living room to accommodate a paperback book, newspaper or magazine. The insert in the center is typical of a period paper clipping and represents the colonial female representations of Great Britain and France seemingly having a discussion over a contested strip of land. The e image is laid on board which sits in situ and could be removed and replaced with something more suitable.
A great addition to your primitive home decor, living room, or bathroom as a period wall decoration.
Rack measures 26.4" long by 18.5" wide by 7.5" deep (2.5" deep folded) and weighs 1lb 3oz.
This magazine is in good condition and folds easily. There are some small chips in the wood (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
