Antique Dodecagon Amethyst Glass Tobacco Jar

Antique heavy glass dodecagon humidor. Antique tobacco jar used in general stores for storing and displaying cigars tobacco. The dodecagon shaped cigar jar was the optimal shape for upright storage. Complete with its original humidor lid which sports a matchbox holder in the center for customer convenience as well as a sponge grip on the underside fro moisture. Made in the USA it was made around 1915 the glass has a slight amethyst hint to it due to exposure to sunlight. A great addition for any vintage kitchen as a storage container or as a display item in a candy store.

Humidor measures 5.5" diameter by 7" tall and weighs 2lbs 13oz.


This glass humidor is in good condition with some signs of use commensurate with age, the glass where the lid meets the humidor is grated and chipped around the edges (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
