Antique English Mahogany Cased Neale Fruit Market Wall Clock

  • $ 46000

DESCRIPTION

Antique 12" dial English Mahogany Cased Neale Fruit Market Wall Clock. The painted face of the clock is decorated with advertising " Neale for the Best Fruit" instead of numbers as is usual. It is assumed that this clock was used in a permanent fruit market such as Camden town, Spitalfields or Covent Garden by a long standing fruit and veg vendor, which acted not only as a focal point but as a relevant time piece. This most likely dates to the 1920's through to the 1940's.

Inside the clock it is marked Clapham.

A fabulous addition to your clock collection or vintage home decor. This would make a great housewarming or early holiday gift idea.
