Antique First Edition Book 1730 Francis Bacon Opera Omnia Volume 1
Antique large first edition 18th century leather bound book. Written by Francis Bacon, this is his famous "Opera Omnia" published posthumously in 1730 at Grays Inn by R Gosling and sold by Thomas Osborne who was a publisher and stationer. This single volume consists of around 666 pages including index, half of which is written in latin an half in English.
This would make a great addition to your rare book collection.
Book measures by 13"long by 8.75" wide by 2" deep and weighs 6lb 2oz.
The book is in fairly good condition considering age and use. The leather front cover has become detached but the rest of the pages are attached well to the spine. The leather cover had scratches and damage to the edges and corners (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description)
