Vintage French Limoges match striker and holder. Glazed ceramic match holder in white and blue this beautiful French match holder would originally have graced a cafe table. Made by William Guerin for Limoges between 1900 and 1932, the mark being referred to as mark 3 for this manufacturer. It was part of a large collection purchased from a match strike and inkwell collector recently.
Marked on base: WG & Co, France
This would suit any living room or smoking parlor, be used on a dining room table as a toothpick or candle holder when entertaining. A great housewarming or early holiday gift idea.
