Antique French Sculpture Whistler After Bruonon Made In Paris 19thC Signed Metal
DESCRIPTION
Antique patinated metal full length sculpture of the whistler by C Anfry after a sculpture by Bruonon. This sculpture depicts a young man in rag tag clothing and a Tam o shanter cap whistling happily whilst walking with his hands in his pockets. Similar to the famous mousse siffleur sculpture by Vaclau Bernard Szczeblewski this piece dates to around the same period if not a little later. Made in France this gold toned white metal sculpture sits on a red round marble base. The plaque attached to the sculpture base has the name of the piece and the original artist. This piece was designed by another artist and signed on the base.
