Antique Pair Of Victorian Double Art Nouveau Decorative Wall Sconces
Original late 19th or early 20th century plated wall sconces from Argentina. Dating to the end of the 19th century the metal wall sconces are resplendent with acanthus leaves which was a popular theme at the time especially in France. The wealth of Argentina during the period is reflected in the decorative style they imported from Europe at the time. The double sconces are removable from the bracket plate and could be turned around to display differently if needed. These were acquired from an antique dealer on a recent trip to Buenos Aires. Obviously these would require re wiring as they use a different output in SA.
The sconces measures approximately 15" long by 11 wide" by 7" deep and together weigh 6lbs 6oz.
In good solid condition and ready to use with scuffs commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
