Antique Victorian copper "Rock of Ages" medal struck in 1881 in Canada. Star shaped copper medal as worn by members of the Temperance Legion of Honor. Queen Victoria was the national British matron of the Temperance movement and was featured on many coins and medals during her reign. This national association was a recognized seal of approval for these Temperance movements which were popular at the time. The spelling of the word Honor signifies it was struck in the North American dominion of Canada.
