Antique Scottish Horn Tobacco Snuff Mull Sterling Silver Georgian Thistle Decor
Early 19th century Georgian Scottish snuff mull. This small tobacco snuff mull is made from rams horn and sterling silver mounts, one depicting a thistle. The rim, hinge and blank cartouche are not marked but test for sterling as this was most likely made locally for a provincial patron. This piece dates to the early 19th century either George or William IV.
This would make a great addition to your primitive home decor, vintage snuff or horn collection.
Mull horn measures 3" long by 2.5" wide by 1.5" deep and weighs 2oz.
In good solid condition and ready to use with wear, tear and fleabites commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
