Antique Victorian 1800s Pewter Death Plaque ~ Jacob Kruiken 1892
Antique Victorian German death plaque. Made from pewter this plaque was a memorial piece most likely placed on the inside of a mausoleum. Ornately decorated around the edges this plaque is beautifully inscribed with script, detailing the persons name, date of departure and age. The two holes on either side are where it was previously attached. These plaques were often removed after a crypt or mausoleum was no longer paid for or changed ownership.
Marked: Died 21st Dec 21 1892, Jacob Kuiken. Age 23 Yrs 7 Mos 27 ds

Plaque measures 8.75" long by 4.75" wide by 0.5" deep and weighs 4.8oz.
In generally good condition considering age and use, there are some scratches to the metal (please see all photographs as they form part of the listing description).
