The central column is a hollow copper construction with a temperature range incised into the central cartouche where originally a thermometer would have been placed. This is topped with another highly detailed figure of a huntsman in full hunting regalia including blow horn, whip and hat. this sculptured piece would make a great addition to any hunting themed property, classical sculpture or British property. There are no makers marks to be found anywhere on it.
This would make a great birthday gift or housewarming gift.
Figural thermometer measures by 10" tall by 4" wide by 4" deep and weighs 2lb 2oz.
In nice condition considering age and use. There would have originally been a thermometer in the center pillar but it is missing. There is some signs of oxidization as is expected (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
