DESCRIPTION

Original pair of late Victorian heavy metal door handles in the shape of medieval gauntlets. Each gauntlet was attached to a door via the two long threads and the thumb was pushed in to release a lock mechanism which allowed the doors to be opened. Some of the original bronzing still remains on one of the gauntlets. These were acquired from an estate about 15 years ago.

A great addition to any Victorian military or ideal for a secret room.

MEASUREMENTS

Gauntlets measures 14" tall by 3" deep by 3.5" wide and together weigh 5lbs 14oz.

CONDITION

In good solid condition overall with one attachment rod missing. It is probably best to replace the rods with modern threads (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
